PUBLIC Mini C Kid's Bike Kids Balance Bike

PUBLIC Mini C Kid's Bike Kids Balance Bike

Public Bikes USA

In European cities it's normal for many parents and kids to get around town on bikes. While biking with children is now becoming more common in US cities, the truth is that many city kids still don't grow up riding bikes like their cul-de-sac cousins. We designed our new PUBLIC Mini C kids' balance bike to be the first bike for the next generation of urban citizens.

The new balance bike design is a smart way to get kids started on bikes, that's much more intuitive for little ones than the rattling training wheels we grew up with. "Less is more" is our design ethos, and by eliminating the pedals and chain, kids can use their natural instincts to balance with their feet and easily scoot around without fear of falling. Since we used standard bike components like a classic steel frame and comfy inflated tires, the PUBLIC Mini C can zip around just as smoothly as a pedal bike does. Kids love them, they look great, and they're tons of fun.

Just like you'd expect on a PUBLIC bike, the PUBLIC Mini C allows for a wide range of seat and handlebar height adjustments to grow with kids and share with friends starting from age 3. It's available in two frame styles and four colors for boys and girls alike: the PUBLIC Mini V has a sloping diamond frame and the PUBLIC Mini C features a step-through frame with mini Dutch bike style. Both include a matching color bell for polite passing in the playground.

All of our kids' bikes are shipped Ready to Ride. You'll receive a 99% assembled bike delivered to your door with simple instructions and the few tools needed to complete the finishing steps. And our 30 Day Love at First Ride Guarantee means your little one will get the bike they love, no matter what. Ride shipping, the only assembly required is taking the bike out of the box and installing the pedals (tools included). Learn more about PUBLIC Shipping options under the Shipping tab on this page.

PUBLIC BIKE SIZE RECOMMENDATIONS

A bike that fits properly is more fun to ride. The guides below offer size suggestion based on height in inches. If you have measuring tape, you may also determine your size by measuring your leg length plus one inch, which is your stand over measurement. For all bikes, we recommend at least 1 inch of space between you and the top tube of the bike.

When in doubt, contact our customer service team via email atcustomerservice@publicbikes.com or phone at 1-888-450-0123. For children’s bikes, smaller bikes are always easier for beginners.

*Please note some riders may be a little outside of these height range recommendations but prefer the feel of a larger or smaller bike. Stand over height measurement is not as important as how the bike geometry feels while it is being ridden.

CARE GUIDE

DO

  • Always read the care label and washing instructions before washing your clothes.
  • Arrange your laundry into groups with similar wash care instructions and organise into whites, darks and colours.
  • The care label washing temperature is the highest permitted temperature.
But if you are unsure, always wash at a lower temperature rather than higher.
  • Rinse swimwear immediately after use and do not wring.
  • Turn garment inside out before washing.

DON'T

  • Avoid using too much detergent.
  • Do not use fabric detergents which contain bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry garment unless indicated on the care label.
  • Do not iron prints, trims or embellishments.
  • Do not leave garments with white and contrast coloured panels soaking for prolonged periods.
  • Garments with metal trims should not be left to soak.

FOOTWEAR

  • We recommend treating suede & nubuck with an appropriate protector before wear.
A suede brush will help to keep the nap raised & the suede looking new.
  • If your shoes get wet, stuff them with newspaper and dry naturally, away from a direct heat source.
This will prevent the outer materials drying out and cracking.
  • Unless otherwise stated, trainers and canvas shoes should not go in the washing machine.
If they get dirty, let them dry and remove the excess dirt with a clean bush or cloth.
  • For heeled products, check top pieces (heel tips) regularly & when they start to wear down take them to a good shoe repair shop and have them replaced to avoid slipping or causing further damage to your shoes.
  • When purchasing leather products from ASOS please remember that it is a natural product & some variations between pairs in terms of colour and finishes may occur.
